Delivery Driver/warehouse Operative - High Wycombe, United Kingdom - APD LTD

Description

The primary function of a driver is to deliver product to our trade customer base in a timely manner
having full regard for the rules and conditions of the roads. The secondary function is to assist with
the preparation of stock so that upon a sale it can be easily identified and sold to our customer.

Duties Include

• Ensure there is a clean and safe working environment for both workers and customers.
• To ensure that the vehicle allocated is in a clean, legal and roadworthy condition.
• To carry out regular checks on the basic wear and tear items on the vehicle as per the

company vehicle checklist and ensure the vehicle is up to date on its tax and MOT
obligations. To highlight any concerns to senior management.

• To ensure the vehicle is not overloaded or otherwise loaded in an unsafe manner.
• To ensure mileage is recorded and all fuel receipts are correctly accounted for.
• To ensure that all deliveries are made as per agreed routes or the most efficient manner

without un-necessary delay.

• To ensure all deliveries are signed for by the customer unless agreed beforehand with the

customer and signed off by the Assistant Manager or line manager.

• To collect all returns as promptly as possible and to ensure all relevant paperwork is

completed by the customer before collection.

• To assist branch staff with picking and packing of product for delivery runs including internal

transfers as and when the need requires.

• To assist branch staff with checking supplier deliveries and replenishing stock in the

warehouse as and when required.

• To assist branch staff with stock taking activities.
• To be prepared to distribute marketing and promotional materials for the company with the

aim of increasing sales.

• To replenish customer stock levels of impressed stock or consumable packs if required from

time to time.

• All other duties that are required from time to time by senior staff

Pay:
£10.42-£10.60 per hour

Experience:

• Delivery driver experience: 3 years (required)
• Driving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
