If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to expand your skills and knowledge into complex care or if you already have complex care experience, this could be the perfect job role for you
We are looking for compassionate and committed Healthcare Assistants in Kirkby, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality one-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own home.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a charming young boy with a fantastic personality who lives with his loving family in Kirkby, he requires support with his complex and clinical care needs throughout the day on a 1:1 basis.
He loves to be very active, and can mobilise independently, he enjoys going to the park where he likes to play football and riding on his bike and scooter.
Throughout the day your role will be to support with his morning routine at home before accompanying him to his educational setting.
Here you will closely observe and tend to his clinical care needs when required, you will ensure his comfort and promote social interaction.
He loves to attend school and enjoys his time with his friends, you will support his engagement with his learning and promote ongoing development.
After his school day you will accompany him back home and carry out his evening routine, this will include assisting him to enjoy his hobbies and interests.
We are looking for staff who are comfortable around pets as there is a dog in the property.It is essential to have previously worked with children who have complex care needs for this position
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Previous Experience working with children with complex care needs.
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Children's Complex Care Experience
Desirable Experience
- Tracheostomy Care
- PEG Feeding
- Oral Suctioning
We have the following shifts available;
- Part Time Days
- 8am 6pm
- During Noneterm time hours of work can increase.
Take a look at our pay rates
Weekdays:
£11.50 per hour (£115 approx. per 10-hour shift)
Bank Holiday:
£13.50 per hour (£135 approx. per 10-hour shift)
