Description
We are looking for a Dog Intake Coordinator to:

  • Co-ordinate the calls and enquiries received to the intake lines, answering questions, and explaining Battersea's intake policies and procedures to customers.
  • Ensure that animals are scheduled to come into Battersea efficiently and in line with operational requirements, raising concerns or queries to Intake Team Leaders.
  • Provide a high quality of customer service and support over the telephone to customers who contact us for help.
  • Ensure we have a behavioural and medical history provided for each animal before they come into Battersea.
  • Settle animals into appropriate kennels on arrival, logging behavioural observations and preadmission histories onto our central database.
  • Carry out investigations into ownership.

This role sits within the Operations Directorate, which is responsible for delivering the highest standards of animal welfare and care for every dog and cat in their journey through Battersea, from reception, to intake, to assessment and then to rehoming.
