Description

Who are we?:

Flock is a fully digital insurance company for commercial motor fleets, on a mission to make the world quantifiably safer.

With Flock, safer fleets pay less.

Hundreds of companies trust us to protect their vehicles and drivers with connected insurance that enables and incentivises safer driving.

We're proud to be supported by some of the world's leading VCs, including Chamath/Social Capital and Anthemis. Our aim is to become the go-to insurer for connected and autonomous vehicles.

We are now investing heavily in what we know to be the key to our future success - our people.

Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Head of Distribution to lead our efforts in expanding our business and increasing revenue growth.

As the Head of Distribution, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention across various channels.

After two years of growth and a successful Series B fundraise, we've established a great network of appointed brokers.

However, with over 130 offices onboarded, nearly 70% of our premium was bound through our top 10 brokers and the awareness and engagement with our product is still lower than we'd like with our network.

We are looking for an Interim Head of Distribution to help us continue to grow our broker network whilst also improving the percentage of brokers that are actively submitting and binding business with us and improving their understanding and engagement with our safety insights and rebates.

As the Head of Distribution you will be:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy that maximises revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention with existing and future distribution channels
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns that drives engagement, adoption and required lead volumes
  • Build and lead a team to manage Broker relationships and ensure our broker partners act and feel like an extended part of Flock
  • Identify market trends and competitive insights to inform distribution strategy and product development
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure product features and functionality meet broker needs
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimise sales processes

Requirements:

  • You have 5 or more years of experience managing relationships with brokers in the commercial insurance space ideally with good exposure and focus on commercial fleet
  • You've met and/or exceeded ambitious commercial targets and helped set and achieve targets for your assigned brokers
  • You have worked in an environment with a great amount of change. This could be an internal reorganisation, a product launch, a startup or perhaps the roll out of a new process or technology to your broker partners
  • You are a great communicator. You work well with both internal teams (engineers, product managers, our lawyers) and external partners
  • You are wellliked and respected by your peers and your customers (and probably call many of them your friends)

The wow factor (not required but the stuff we love to see):

  • You've worked in a high growth setting
  • You live and breathe technology, and can speak about it fluently and passionately
  • You've presented to large groups at conferences or trade shows
  • You are a master at building power points or compelling presentations

Benefits

  • Stock Options Scheme
  • An autoenrollment workplace pension
  • Enhanced Parental Leave
  • 25 days of holiday (excluding bank holidays)
- £1000 toward relevant professional qualification
