Edmund Barton Limited are a well-established small family business that manufactures, stores and distributes pickles under the name of Bartons Pickles, they are looking for an Apprentice Warehouse Operative to join their team.

Apprentice Warehouse Operative

£105.60 to £ Hours per week (More hours offered at busy times)

Main duties & Responsibilities:


  • Primarily folk lift operations and warehouse duties.

Also included in the role:

  • Food production / warehouse operative incorporates daily safe food handling in the preparation, production and manufacture of pickles and warehouse operations to include order picking,
  • Case / pallet stacking
  • Loading and unloading of materials / finished products
  • General cleaning of the production and warehouse facility
  • Work within Health and Safety guidelines

Desired skills:


  • Experience of operating a Folk Lift Truck
  • Good Communicator and happy to work in a small team.
  • Must be able to work in a safe way and follow instructions.
  • Willing to learn and use initiative.
  • Keen to build a career and stay with the company.

Desired Personal Qualities:


  • High standard of hygiene
  • Flexible approach
  • Punctual and have a good work ethic

Desired Qualifications:


  • Fork Lift Truck Certificate of Basic Training (preferred)
