Business Finance Controller

PPG Industries:

Birstall:

You will provide financial guidance, strategic analysis and execution in the AC UK Trade business.

You will manage all financial channel activities including the monthly closing cycle, reporting, building weekly/monthly estimates and the development of the annual plan.

You will work with senior management including the General Manager AC Trade & Retail, Retail Director - Johnstone's Decorating Centres, Sales Controllers and several functional managers.

Reporting into the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Trade business commercial and marketing teams
Challenge the business by delivering analysis of the numbers and simulation of options available
Responsible for all reporting for Trade business across AC UK and the calculations of important metrics
Understand the commercial competitive environment and influence the decisions making process
Analyse, interpret and communicate monthly financial results including deviation analysis, explanation of performance drivers/opportunities and important metric reporting
Monthly closing process coordinate activities to ensure results are accurate and explainable
Present of monthly customer P&Ls including overview of account profitability including customer rebate agreements
Work with business to develop Investment Appraisal submissions for all Decorating Centre openings, relocations and refurbishments
Provide any ad hoc analysis by sales management of different levels. This includes customer profitability, margin analysis, contract analysis.
In addition, there will be adhoc Projects and work as required

Qualifications

You must hold a relevant degree and a recognised professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA / ACCA / ACA

years experience working in a large matrix style organisation

5 + years experience leading and coaching a team
