The Role:
Technical Administrator
This role is based within our head office in Runcorn and has the following main responsibilities:
- Help undertaking and report on production taste testing performance on a regular basis
- Managing BRC Documentation including specifications, training records, etc
- Support with Quality Assurance and reporting
- Supporting with preparing Monthly Technical Pack for Management Review
- Undertake internal audits on a regular basis
- Create, manage and review specifications
- Raw material control, Supplier SAQ's, Certificates, Specifications
- Health & Safety training and reporting
- Assist with complaint recording and root cause analysis
- Assist operations, technical and NPD as required on projects
- Assist operations, technical and NPD on any adhoc admin tasks as required
Immediate Responsibilities and Hot Projects
Plot, Plan and Deliver on the following:
- Have an effective working relationship with suppliers and ensure that supplier approvals, documentation such as COA (Certificate of Analysis) and COC (Certificate of Conformance) are in place
- Develop a rigorous approach to ensure we have all up to date product specifications on file.
- Develop relationships with buyers and supply chain to ensure premium products purchased
- Work effectively with the business to deliver a reliable and robust technical function
- Work effectively with the Technical and NPD team to develop effective product introduction processes
- Develop Technical reporting packs for the business
- Support with external and internal audits as required
The Things You'll Nail as Standard
- Take over and enable a smooth handover from the NPD Team in terms of data management
- Staying familiar with the company's system needs and become a 'Go to' person for 'anything items and BOMs related'
- Supporting the Technical team from day one and create a robust admin function.
- Coordinating with the purchasing manager and various suppliers and develop an effective working relationship.
- Regular communication with the technical team and senior management team
- Overseeing our current processes and improve and develop new processes where required.
- Communicating with suppliers and ensuring there are no gaps in technical documentation
- Keeping well-organised and documented guides
- Attending meetings to stay up to date on the company's objectives

Non-Negotiables
- Clear and proven experience as a Technical Administrator within a FMCG environment.
2. Proven experience and a great track record about excelling in key functions
- Strong knowledge in process improvement and standardisation
- Highly organised and excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence at various levels
- Ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the development and implementation of SOPs. (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise, meet deadline and manage changing priorities
- Proven ability to be a flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work occasionally outside normal business hours, when required.
Desirables
- An understanding of / experience in FMCG Food and/or Sports Nutrition
- Experience of working in an E-Commerce vertically integrated business/or Food Manufacturing
- Internal audit training
- Excellent excel knowledge
