Tezlom are looking for passionate and well-established youth support workers for a residential accommodation in Cambridge.

We are looking for individuals that have a fantastic reputation and are a dedicated to ensuring our young people are safe and healthy and able to make a positive contribution to prompting their independence.


You will be supporting young males aged between 15-21, who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours and may have other complex behavioural issues.

It provides a year-round children's home together with individualised treatment programmes of therapy and education, delivered on-site at our Independent Special School and carried out within a therapeutic community setting.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • To be responsible for the supervision and support of residents and the security of the establishment for any agreed hours.
  • To receive and take account of information handed over from care officers at the start of the night duty period.
  • To supervise residents as directed by care officers.
  • To undertake cleaning duties as directed by the trust and care officers.
  • To stay awake and alert throughout the night and to keep an accurate log recording observations made during this period.
  • To be prepared to receive and act on any special instructions given during the handover relating to the needs of the individual residents.
  • To provide incoming staff with a clear writing and verbal handover in the morning.
  • To support and engage with the young men who live and work there.

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Minimum age: 22 years (Children's Home Regulations (England) 2001 specify no person works in a children's home unless they are at least 4 years older than the oldest child accommodated).
As this is a rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to own car is essential.

A willingness to learn - alongside an extensive in-house Training programme, we'll pay and support you with an essential Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Persons qualification.
