BookkeeperPosition Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Bookkeeper on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the company's management and assisting with bookkeeping tasks. See detail below.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
management/accounts team when required.
- Prepare and organise documents, invoices, bills.
- Familiar with the accounting software 'Xero' and feel confident with the use of iCloud.
- Handle basic office administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and photocopying.
Bookkeeping Tasks:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and expenses.
- Process and record financial transactions in the company's accounting system.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements regularly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Coordinate income streams:
- Rentals, Solar Power, Biomass and service charges.
- Collect meter readings for various utilities (electricity, water, gas) from company properties.
- Verify meter data accuracy and compile the information for submission to relevant authorities or departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate meter submissions to comply with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Bookkeeper.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong organisational and timemanagement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work one day a week ideally
