Our client, as part of their continued expansion is looking for a Transport Operations Manager to ensure staff performance and client satisfaction.

Although they are not a 24/7 operation, the drivers tend to have early starts, so the need is to find someonewho is comfortable working from 4am but only on a Monday - Friday, there will be no weekends.

The role will be to ensure the drivers start the day in the right manner and get out on time with all aspects of managerial and administrative duties associated withthat, before handing over to the person on the late shift.


Duties will include:

  • Managing the operations team and drivers
  • Ensuring customers are serviced correctly, amending driver schedules as required
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and reporting any near misses
  • Performing regular checks of the premises and vehicles for general maintenance needs and cleanliness
  • All other relevant duties to ensure the team are performing at the right level and customers are satisfied
  • A strong customercentric attitude ensuring the customer receives an exemplary service is paramount
  • Knowledge of transport legislation
In an ideal world you would also have some of the following experience / qualifications.

  • Experience as an O-Licence holder
  • CPC
  • IOSH/NEBOSH
