HR Manager - About the role:

The HR Manager is a "generalist" role, responsible for all HR operations at IMI Thompson Valves and the Energy Branch, including the line management of the onsite HR team.


They will business partner the management team and lead delivery of key people projects aligned to the business strategy and regional people strategy.


Main Responsibilities of the HR Manager role:

  • Management of the onsite HR team and business partner to the site management team.
  • Provide expert generalist HR support to all managers and employees at IMI Thompson Valves and the Energy Branch.
  • Responsible for the daytoday operational advice to the business.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing, leading key onsite events & initiatives.
  • In conjunction with the site management team, develop and lead the site's wellbeing strategy.
  • Lead the provision of HR services for all employees, maintaining accurate data and KPIs.
  • Execute thorough and structured recruitment processes, at all levels, in order to attract and induct the best talent for the Company; ensure production of timely and accurate offers and contracts in accordance with current regulations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant HR qualifications (CIPD level 7 or chartered CIPD) desired or working towards.
  • Solid HR experience with wellrounded understanding of the core HR disciplines (recruitment, performance management, handling disciplinary and grievances, policy development and implementation etc).
  • Have or able/willing to obtain security clearance.
  • Experience supporting, advising and influencing managers and employees on all HR matters.
  • Strong organisational and administration capability, with a track record of delivering to tight timescales.
  • Ability to build strong relationships in order to coach, challenge, and influence decisions with key stakeholders.
  • Previous experience of line managing an HR team.
  • Good process skills and a drive to secure continuous improvements.
