ABOUT THE PROJECT

Workforce On Demand have an exciting opportunity for numerous black hat supervisors working on a vehicle battery plant that is currently under construction within the North East of England.

Acting on behalf of our client who have been in operation for over 40 years are an award winning international construction specialist delivering multiple services from high-tech cleanrooms, data centre solutions, EV battery facilities, high-end quality fitouts and specialised refurbishments.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Adhere to clients ''Safety First'' Guiding Principle
Ensuring adequate supervision is in place for all site personnel under their & your control
Ensure that the quality of works is completed to an acceptable level
Complete daily timesheet and labour allocation sheet and submit for approval by Site Management Team.
Delegate responsibilities and individual tasks to staff and contractors
Ensure activities are coordinated, monitored and inspected regularly to ensure the work is being completed safely.

Ensure that allocated resources and staff are utilized, maximising output whilst meeting safety needs, regulations, best practices, laws and project schedule.

Ensure all works installed as per correct issue of drawings and that works are inspected to ensure compliance to specification.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement health & safety measures & procedures on site
Attend meetings with client & sub-contractors
Plan and programme work methods and build sequence on sites of responsibility
Inspect quality of work during the construction process and give advice and support to Site Managers as required
Experience of working as a senior site manager, construction manager within industrial environment
Motivate, support and manage site managers by providing training, coaching and support as required to improve performance
Ensure that costs are controlled efficiently and that all resources are being used effectively
Check and understand sub-contractors work against specification and quality standards and specifications
Ensure material flow onto site is consistent and matches the demands of the project activities
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Understanding of management systems

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid CSCS Card at site management (or equivalent)
Valid SMSTS certificate
Valid First Aid Certificate
Construction Management - NVQ Level 6/7 is desirable
