Trainee CAD Designer
Spa Design and Build Limited specialise in bespoke concept designs and creative spatial planning. Our highly experienced time served craftsmen complete more than 100 projects per year for both commercial and residential properties.

We are looking to recruit a Trainee CAD Designer and Administrator to join its Design Team based in Wallasey, Wirral.

You will be working alongside the Trade, Projects and Design team producing all manufacture and 3D drawings, plus providing assistance to the factory and project team for administration elements.

The role is varied and requires a dynamic, articulate, enthusiastic, hard-working team player with good time management.


Requirements:

• Some experience in Residential and Commercial project designs.
• Experience of autoCAD desirable.
• Experience of Solidworks software essential.
• Internal industry knowledge training provided.

Responsibilities include:

• Create design concepts and drawings utilising 3D Modelling software to bring products to life.
• Working on a number of different trade prducts and larger projects to meet client requirement.
• Producing autoCAD drawings for multiple products
• Training provided on autoCAD.
• Working within architects and structural engineers drawings.
• Attend site meetings and undertake site surveys alongside the Senior Designer.
• Ensure set hours per project tasks are met and coordinated.
• Assist with general office administration.
• Carry out other duties as required.

The successful applicant will require the following:

• To be consistently creative and push boundaries.
• Good allround computer literacy.
• Experience of Solidworks is essential.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to visual and technical details.
• Understand and communicate contractual design data.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Good team player.
