The role

The difference our new Early Careers Advisor will make
As an Early Careers Advisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

You'll work in partnership with the Group Early Careers team to ensure that the Early Careers Programme brings in the correct mix of new talent into the organisation at Cavendish Nuclear, with involvement in leading other initiative, e.g.

STEM engagement.


Day to day, you'll ensure the early careers programmes placements deliver the required output to meet both business and individual needs, monitor and report performance across the graduate, undergraduate and apprentice communities and build strong relationships/work with key stakeholders and external organisations to develop the early careers programmes.

You'll also work in partnership with the local training providers and colleges our apprentices attend as well as work with the Early Careers Team to share knowledge and best practice.

Essential experience

  • Good knowledge of early careers development and recruitment practices including experience in identifying the most effective methods
  • Develop and retain talent and shaping bespoke programmes to meet both business and individual needs with an understanding of how apprenticeship standards are structured
  • Able to ensure that company policies, procedures and processes are developed, reviewed, updated and implemented as required
  • Strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills and an ability to use initiative, as well as possessing excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Educated to A Level Standard or equivalent (level 3 of the national qualification framework) and GCSE level English & Maths (or equivalent)
