Burton Ward is a fast-paced Ward caring for acute and chronic renal patients, alongside this we also care for stroke step down patients.
We deal with elective and emergency procedures and support patients who require both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic person to join our team in an admin support/ward clerk role.
Please note the start date for this position will not be until April 1st or after.
We are looking for a Ward Clerk.
We are particularly looking for someone that is flexible as you will be expected to cover annual leave and possibly short term absence and training.
The Ward Clerk duties will include: communicating will all visitors to the ward, answering telephone, updating Careflow (computer system) with all admissions / discharges and chasing referrals. Ensuring all medical notes and current inpatient notes are filed correctly, oversee ordering and ensuring stationary stock is well maintained. Organizing paperwork for outpatient procedures, assisting in basic ward audits and supporting renal coordinator in their role.
Work closely with the Vulcan Suite to maintain excellent patient experience.
