Hills Waste Solutions have an opportunity available for a
Yard Operative to join our team based in
Calne. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£23,190.

About the role:

Reporting to the MRF Supervisor and MRF Manager, the duties will include:

  • Maintain the loading and storage areas and keep the site area in a clean and tidy condition at all times
  • Maintain the kerbside collected battery and waste electrical storage area, sorting items into the correct storage containers.
  • Maintain pedestrian areas and keep them free of hazards
  • Assist with the winter maintenance of hard surfaces
This role will be on working 40 hours per week 07:30 - 16:00, Monday - Friday with a 30-minute break each day
There will also be a contracted requirement to work some Bank Holidays and up to 8 Saturdays per year.


About you:


  • Good Hazard awareness
  • Willing to work outside in all weathers
  • Experience within a waste operation environment would be a distinct advantage.
