  • The Preregistration Nursing programme, in the Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Oxford Brookes University, is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the following courses:

BSc (Hons) Nursing (Mental Health)

MSc Nursing (Mental Health)

  • The successful applicant would be appointed with effect from
    August 2024 for a term of four years.
  • External examiners are requested to attend Subject Exam Boards each semester (four per year via Zoom) and to complete an annual report. Once a year the External Examiner is also required to undertake a visit to placement. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications to modules and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.
  • You will need to have a current NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse.
  • This post would suit either those with previous experience of the role or would be a good first post for those looking to move into external examining.
