Job Title:
Estimator - Stonework / Brickwork


Location:
Wickham Bishops, Essex, UK


Salary:
£40,000 - £60,000+


Job Type:
Full-time


Most of the work is based in and around London with some iconic projects being the Royal College of Art, Tate Modern - Switch House, York House, One Blackfriars, City Hall, Ascot Racecourse and many more.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for brickwork and stonework projects
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure that estimates are accurate and uptodate
  • Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials
  • Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
  • Review and analyse subcontractor quotes and proposals
  • Prepare bid packages and proposals
  • Attend site meetings as required
  • Liaise with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders as required

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an Estimator or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good IT skills
