Under the direction of the Risk Manager, the post holder will be responsible for administration of all aspects under the remit of the Risk Management.
Risk Management within this job description refers to incident reporting, incident investigation, Serious Incidents, Concise Investigations, Duty of Candour, Risk Registers and the Risk Management Database (Datix).
This also includes secretarial (minute taking) and administration of meetings.
There may also be a requirement to support within the wider team and assist the legal services administrative function on an ad hoc basis.
The role is an NCA wide role and is primarily based at Fairfield General Hospital which is part of Bury Care Organisation.
Main duties of the post will include:
- Minute taking and meeting administration
- Ensuring the smooth and efficient organisation of the Risk Management administrative function
- Supporting the implementation and understanding of the policies and procedures for Risk Management
- Overseeing the maintenance and monitoring of databases bring forward systems and other daily administrative duties which facilitate the effective performance of all aspects of Risk Management
- Providing advice and support for staff / managers in the function and use of the Datix modules for Risk Management
- Photocopying and downloading medical records
- Utilising and promoting the Datix system for Risk Management
- Adhering to, and helping implement operational procedures and guidelines related to Risk Management, in conjunction with the Risk Manager.
- Other administrative duties as designated by the senior members of the Risk Management and Patient Safety team
