Senior Category Manager - PAYE - London
Gibbs Hybrid is looking for a Senior Category Manager to work onsite with a client in London, as part of their Commercial and Category Strategy Team.
This is a 14+month PAYE contract requiring 1-2 days a week onsite in the London office/ 3 days remote working,with some travel required to other offices, on occasion.
You will be accountable for building category-leading relationships, both internally and externally and not only identifying KPIs but being relentless in your delivery.
You will support the creationof strategies and joint category plans by providing best in class customer insights and developing solutions for sustainable and viable growth.
- Inspire and develop those around you, making you the goto person for category expertise, critical thinking and Best Practice. Lead a team of 3 Category Managers and 1 Reporting Executive
- Develop targets and a framework that is both ambitious but achievable by being visionary, bringing the growth drivers to life and being on top of the latest category trends and metrics
- Build a channel growth model which clearly identifies the role of customers, channels and segments
- Identify the KPIs and targets that will monitor the delivery of that plan and hold people accountable
- Consult and challenge the UK strategy and operational plans, ensuring that they are in line with the Category Growth Drivers that you have identified
- Monitor the market to continuously benchmark
- Be instrumental in shaping and developing new tools and software, including reporting
Essential:
- Proven experience in category management or relevant CD/Insight
- Line Management required and people development
- Stakeholder management and relationshipbuilding. Collaboration.
- Strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to influence through storytelling
- Strategy creation and implementation
- Analyticallyminded with a high degree of curiosity
- A passion to understand not just the 'what' but also the 'why'
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience in negotiating and creating contracts with Third Parties
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint) skills
- Experience using Kantar, Nielsen and retailer data systems is preferred
