To be based in the
Manchester,
Leeds,
York or
Warrington offices, we are recruiting individuals with experience across the
Transport Planning discipline to help deliver a range of projects from active travel and public realm to bus, rail and road interventions.
Atkins are the Framework Consultants for Lancashire County Council and are working on projects for Liverpool City Region combined Authority, Transport for Greater Manchester, Transport for the North, Network Rail, National Highways, and a range of local authorities across the north of England.
Within the wider business we also contribute to projects at a national scale for many other local and national government bodies and the private sector.
Your purpose:
Collaborating with specialists from across our business as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you'll work on flagship sustainable transport interventions and decarbonisation strategies.
Making the most of your transport planning knowledge and understanding, you'll shape Business Cases, feasibility studies and policies which will deliver a step change in accessibility across the region.
What you can bring?
Successful applicants will be flexible, self-motivated and will be expected to demonstrate a capability in any of the following:
- Development of transport strategies and plans (local and strategic).
- Scheme appraisal and business case preparation.
- Transport scheme development.
- Feasibility and corridor Studies.
- Multimodal transport strategies.
- Development Planning and Master Planning.
