£14.57 per hour PAYE

£18.93 per hour Umbrella
35 hours per week

To advise either verbally or in writing on good practice to discourage infestation by pests and rodents

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
with a responsibility to embrace and lead change; be outcome-focused; and put Hounslow residents at the very heart of everything we do and every decision we take.
Your professional accountability is to provide public hygiene pest control services to residents and internal and external clients.You will work with staff, clients and other partners to find effective solutions and achieve positive outcomes for clients and the public.
You will inspect all types of premises and land to accurately identify and assess the extent of any public hygiene pest infestation and the factors influencing infestation.
To develop and implement action plans, using pesticides and / or enforcement powers where necessary, to control infestations and to minimise the risks of re-infestation.
You will be required to deliver a range of services within a framework of legislation, statutory instruments, codes of practice, corporate policies, local systems, audit schemes, policies, guidance and good professional practice.
You will have due regard to the potential adverse effect of baits, poisons and treatments within the home, office or open spaces on people, pets and wildlife.
To have regard to the potential severe consequences of accidental ingestion of a poison, bait or other treatment and the liability in such circumstances.
You will ensure that all work is completed within targets and according to standard operating procedure and that all contract work within personal portfolio is properly serviced, including for revisits where necessary.
DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED
- Visiting people and businesses to conduct public hygiene pest control activities at their premises.
- Providing written reports on visits made to include issues found, recommendations made, and actions taken.
- Provide verbal advice to clients or potential clients of the service.
- Manage own workload and revisit portfolio within deliverable limits.
- Keep any vehicle provided clean and safely stocked.
- Keep all materials and equipment provided in a safe manner and so as to prevent damage or deterioration
