Anord Mardix are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world's largest companies.

Due to continued expansion we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Welder to join our Fabrication Team in Walton Summit.

We currently have a night shift available for our Weld Team which could appeal to those wanting to work nights.

Roles and Responsibilities

Fabrication of bespoke products
Working to a drawing
MIG/MAG welding structural steelwork, including overhead and vertical positions on occasion
Use of hand tools including plasma cutter, 5" grinder, 9" grinder and magdrills to aid fabrication
Ensure work meets the quality standards defined by the company
Maintain high standards of house keeping
Adhere to health and safety rules at all times
Actively take part in continuous improvement
Work individually on projects as well as in small teams
Other reasonable duties may be required on occasion to assist with the flow of product
Maintaining tools provided by the company
Work in a timely manner
Complete all paperwork as required

Skills and Abilities

Fabrication of structural steelwork experience essential
Ability to weld to qualification standard ISO 9606 (existing qualification desirable)
Experience welding in overhead and vertical positions and use of flux cored wire is desirable
Ability to work well as a team and help others
Good communication skills
