Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as an Assistant Greenkeeper.
As an Assistant Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for various duties related to the maintenance of the golf course under the guidance and leadership of the Course Manager.
This is a hands-on role that requires proficiency in the use of greenkeeping machinery; training will be provided in all equipment.
- To use machinery and equipment as instructed by the Course Manager in the maintenance of the golf course and surrounding land.
- You must be fully aware of all health and safety regulations and risk assessments on all machinery. You will be given adequate training for this and you must ensure that you understand how to operate all the machine and equipment you use
- You will be expected to attend training and other courses which will be usually in working hours at the expense of the club.
- Report immediately to the Course Manager any deficiencies in machinery or equipment used.
- To work with other members of the staff and give them consideration whilst performing your duties.
- As and when required and as directed by the Course Manager or his deputy collect practice balls from the practice area and place in the ball dispenser.
- Maintain a polite and cheerful attitude in relation to members, guest and colleagues.
- Carry out such other reasonable alternative duties as may arise from time to time and as directed by the General Manager or Course Manager.
Skills:
- Proficiency in using greenkeeping and maintenance machinery
- Strong ability to perform physical labour including digging, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
- Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred
