Production Scheduler

Are you a master of organization and efficiency? Do you have a passion for the art of food production and planning? Join the dynamic Procurement team as a Production Scheduler and play a crucial role in delivering high quality food products to major food retailers.


What You'll Do:


As our Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that optimise resources, minimise waste, and ensure on-time deliveries, liaise with suppliers and arrange deliveries.


Your key tasks will include:


  • Collaborate with various departments to gather production requirements and create an effective production plan
  • Manage and update the production schedule to reflect changes in demand, materials availability, and production capacities
  • Analyse and forecast production needs based on market trends and customer demands
  • Optimise production sequences to reduce downtime and maximise productivity
  • Identify potential bottlenecks in the production process and develop solutions to overcome them
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports on production activities and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout the production process
  • Constantly seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

To thrive in this role:


  • Proven experience as a Production Scheduler or Stock Controller or Materials controller or Planner in the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in using production planning software and ERP systems
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changes, and meet tight deadlines
  • A passion for food and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards
