Purpose of job


As part of the retail asset team manage a retail asset in our portfolio in line with the overall Retail Strategy.

Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders internally and externally to shape plans that deliver to the needs of Guests and Brand Partnerswhilst also driving sustained income and investment value performance.

Our aspirations to optimise the value of our retail and leisure ownerships by creating a compelling and engaging offer to both Guests and Brand Partners through the necessary level of investment,active asset management and the co-ordination of different functions within Landsec.

The success of this role is contingent on this collaboration.

Principle accountabilities

  • Execution and implementation of the strategic plan for each asset in line with its placemaking vision. Ensure the plan is delivered in line with the expectations of all stakeholders.
  • Deliver asset P&L's that target growth in relation to sustainable rents whilst incorporating relevant and compelling brand and guest propositions.
  • Collaborate with the relevant internal expertise to curate and deliver attractive, vibrant and distinct places that complement brand partners and attract footfall from target guest groups.
  • Work with the Operations team to support excellent guest experience execution.
  • Work with the Retail Asset Director and Investment team to deliver data required for analysis of valuation and income performance.
  • In depth involvement in projects such as master planning and repurposing of assets, ensuring that both commercial rigour and guest experience enhancement is applied to decisionmaking.
  • Working to ensure delivery of the group's ESG objectives in the retail assets.
  • Supporting the Investment team with the transaction process of sales and acquisitions for the assets.
  • Full collaboration with internal stakeholders and supporting divisions including (but not exclusive to) Brand Account Management, Commercial Finance, Investment, Development, Marketing, Customer Propositions and Operations.
  • Ensure that relevant systems, processes and records are up to date and accurate

  • Asset specific investment and other strategic decisions above delegated authority levels

Knowledge, experience and qualifications

Essential

  • Relevant degree & professional qualification
  • Experienced property professional with expertise in capital or occupational markets
  • Experience in asset/ investment activity
  • Highly numerate
  • Financially astute
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Technologically savvy
  • Successful track record operating in a commercial environment
  • Ability to digest changing market conditions
  • Good presentation skills
Desirable

  • Retail experience
  • Experience of other relevant sectors
  • Experience of working in a dynamic, transactional environment
  • Knowledge of property management and marketing
  • Track record of writing strategy plans and delivering projects
