We are holding Health Care Assistant (Band 2) interviews, for both hospital sites:
Queens Hospital & King George Hospital

Previous applicants who have applied within the last 6 months need not apply.


We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated Health Care Assistants to join our Trust to assist qualified nurses in the delivery of excellent patient care at either Queen's Hospital in Romford or King George Hospital in Goodmayes.

You will have excellent communication skills, good writing skills and good understanding of the English language.


You will be assisting with patient hygiene needs, helping patients meet their nutritional requirements and all other patient needs that arise.

You will be required to be fully flexible to do shift work that includes day shifts, night shifts, weekends and bank holidays:
Day shifts (07:30 am until 20:00 )

Night shifts (19:30 until 08:00 am)

These will be Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays).

Be 18 years old or over

Have the right to work in the UK - with no restrictions

2 years of experience in a nursing home or the hospital as an HCA

PLEASE NOTE:

The post is permanent, and you will be supported to complete your Care Certificate Workbook if you are successful.

Assist in the provision of quality care for all patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Assist at all times to make the clinical area a quality area of care within the Trust.
Assist in the checking of patients details held on the patient administration system.

Record vital signs if requested to do so by registered nurse/doctor.

Assist the doctor/nurse with a sterile procedure if requested to do so.


Assist in the clerical duties and certain other mutually agreed duties to maintain the smooth running of the day unit.

To perform venepuncture and ECG as required after appropriate training.
