Do you have experience in coordination and completion of projects on time and within budget?Acorn is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to work for Pall - a global organisation with a site based in Portsmouth.
As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and while monitoring and controlling the project's scope to prevent scope creep.
The Senior Project Manager will make decisionson project activities to balance scope, schedule, and cost while keeping in mind the strategic impact to the business and the company's priorities.
You'll oversee all aspects of assigned projects, set deadlines to meet the master schedule, assign responsibilitiesand hold team members accountable, communicate with the customer and internal stakeholders, and monitor and control progress of projects.
What will the role involve?- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a risk register for each project and integrate the mitigation activities and opportunities into the project's action plans and master schedule
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Work with the functional managers to ensure resources are allocated to meet the company's commitments
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- You will be working from Monday
- Friday 9am 5:15pm with an early finish of 4pm on a Friday
- You will need to be able to commute daily to the site in Portsmouth however there maybe some scope to work from home on occasion
- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering degree preferred) or equivalent industry experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to attain PMP within 1 year of hire
- 7+ years of experience, Aerospace experience is preferred
- 5+ years of Project Management Experience, preferably in large organisation with multiple locations & cross functional teams
- Excellent clientfacing and internal communication skills
- Good team player with customer focus
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Financial acumen
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Knowledgeable in the lifecycle management process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), in particular excel
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders from different countries/time zones
