The post holder will be responsible:
- To ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment and act as a focal point for non-clinical tasks.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of department stock, maintaining consulting room disposables and minor maintenance and together with other specified tasks to meet individual clinician and patient needs.
- To work closely with support services, Facilities management and any other departments within the trust.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the Environment
- To carry out monitoring of service delivery, equipment and stores at the agreed frequency
- Replenishing and organising stocks as necessary.
- Inform the manager of outcomes of monitoring and agree action plans, ensuring they are implemented
- Order stores using the EROS system, ensuring adequate supplies are always available.
- Obtain quotations under the supervision of a buyer
- Process purchase orders and assist with the contracting process when required
- Investigate invoice queries Keep clean and tidy store area
- Receipt deliveries
- The position will require light physical effort such as the manual handling of roll cages and unpacking of products onto storeroom shelves
- Lead on the setting up of consulting rooms prior to clinics, ensuring that supplies of stationary are available and IT equipment is maintained in working order.
- To provide household maintenance in line with local policy
- Carry out regular equipment monitoring in accordance with procedures
- Ensure the safe storage of equipment
- Ensure repairs and maintenance to equipment and environment are carried out in line with UH Bristol policy and Estates and MEMO procedure
- Ensure that waste is managed correct.
- Ensure own actions reduce risks to health and safety and to promote a
- Respond to emergencies as appropriate
