A top 100 UK law firm is hiring a Risk & Compliance Assistant to join their team in South West London.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding firm.

The compliance team is responsible for developing the firm's policies and procedures and ensuring they are implemented across the firm, and providing advice and training on all regulatory and compliance issues.

You will need to be able to demonstrate teamwork, communication, and IT skills, as well as a good understanding of risk and compliance.

This role would suit a qualified solicitor who wants to work in Risk & Compliance.

Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting in professional indemnity claims to determine if there is a reportable incident, liaising with the insurer when needed
Managing relationships with panel solicitors when instructed
Assisting with dealing with complaints from clients
Monitoring compliance of AML and CDD procedures for new clients
Conducting searches and carrying out AML checks
Updating risk registers, conflicts, breaches, complaints, etc
Assisting with carrying out conflicts searches and advising fee earners and other staff members
Administering the file review process and ensuring noncompliance issues are rectified
Assisting with the CQS scheme and training
Assisting with the administration of risk and compliance training
Preparing for the annual Lexcel assessment
Assisting with preparing reports
