Minimum 3 days/week Monday to Friday (with full time work available)

Pay: £130 per day (earning potential of over £650 per week) before holiday pay

ABOUT THE BUSHCRAFT COMPANY:

We provide real outdoor adventures for children aged 7-18 years old from May to October.

Arriving at one of our safari-style tented camps based near the ground of Castle Howard, students become fully immersed in the wilderness; sleeping under the stars, and cooking over open fires.

Whether they are learning first-aid techniques, building shelters or tackling an SOS scenario, our outdoor adventures are as real as you can get.


THE ROLE:


Each estate has its own fully equipped kitchen, and you'll be working alongside a head chef and other kitchen assistants to provide quality and nutritious food for the camps.

This includes, working alongside your team to provide tasty meals and following all food regulation standards (food hygiene, Natasha's law), and stock taking deliveries to ensure you have enough food for the camps.

We will teach you everything that you will need to know so that you can ensure our high standards, quality, safeguarding, health and safety are maintained throughout.


With the support of your manager (Head Chef), you will be responsible for the kitchen duties and overall care of the kitchen.


Your day will start at 7am sharp when you meet with your head chef and other kitchen assistants and prepare for the day ahead, and will finish then finish for the day at 7pm.

It's a long day but a fun one - you'll need plenty of enthusiasm, energy and passion, ensuring the students leave having enjoyed the experience of outdoor cooking and trying new foods


You'll be able to camp on Staff Camp and enjoy the great outdoors for yourself whilst building friendships that last a lifetime with your colleagues.

With regular 'Feel Good Fridays,' staff parties and more, you really do become part of The Bushcraft Company Tribe.

- £130 per day (before holiday pay) - with no deductions for accommodation, food or uniform

  • Extensive training opportunities including First Aid, Open Water Lifeguard, Food Hygiene, Archery and access to over 150 online learning courses
