**Interim Housing Officer - Immediately Required

**Position:
Housing Officer****Hours:
35 hours per week****Location:
Oval****Rate:
-£18 - £22 per hour****Duration:
3 Months**
Responsibilities:
  • Support a patch size of 400 properties, being their first point of contact for any queries and enquiries they may have
  • Effectively liaise with tenants on all matters relating to the conduct of their tenancy and issues are investigated or raised in line with procedures
  • Provide tenants with advice and assistance with welfare benefit issues including Housing Benefits
  • Deal appropriately with all cases of neighbour nuisance and harassment and neighbour disputes
  • Take appropriate action to recover debts from former tenants, including arrears and sundry debts
  • Carry out prevoid inspections of properties, to ensure vacating tenants return keys
  • Liaise as required with LA and approved referral agencies to ensure all properties are promptly let
  • Regularly monitor and review the general repair and condition of communal areas of housing schemes or individual street properties

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with lowmedium ASB cases
  • Background dealing with void properties
  • Practical knowledge of dealing
  • Basic DBS dated over the last 12months
