Digital Product Designer
We're looking for an individual that has a passion for combining creative and technical and turning it into results.


The Amelia Knight brands Digital Product Designer will be responsible for designing and building web and app pages, creating a customer experience to be proud of.

This is a pivotal role, acting as a brand guardian for our brands.


Founded in 1998, Amelia Knight is a successful family business that supplies
trend-led cosmetics and
skincare products direct to retailers around the world.

Our customer base includes the likes of Cult Beauty, H&M, Beauty Bay, Boots, Superdrug, Amazon, Feel Unique Selfridges' and similar accounts worldwide.

Would suit ambitious experienced buyer/merchandiser to join an exciting and fast paced company who selling their brands worldwide.


What you will bring to the team:

  • Have a strong understanding of human-centred design and Design Thinking principles and methodologies to create intuitive interfaces and interactions
  • You're curious looking to develop a deep understanding of our data and what motivates our users and shapes their behaviour
  • Comfortable communicating design rationale and justifying design decisions within the team and to stakeholders
  • You are able to work at different levels of fidelity from sketching through to designs, sharing ideas early and refining them with others
  • A clear understanding of how research, testing and data analytics works with the design process
  • Advanced skills in industryleading design and prototyping software, i.e Figma /XD
  • A portfolio with elegant and intuitive design examples within the context of digital design

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and help solve challenging design problems, present multiple solutions for consideration, with sound rationale articulating design concepts, decisions, and your process.
  • Producing guides for the business to replicate bestpractice designs with a variety of objectives, including brandbuilding, conversions, clicks, and leads
  • Develop product ideas based on customer audience interests/surveys and create functional prototypes offering a solution
  • Designing banners and graphics that involves all of our brands
  • Working crossfunctionally with Brand, creative, trading and customer service teams to create designs that deliver an effective user experience
  • Liaising and managing your work with freelance developers on a timely and a costeffective manner, as well as selecting and hiring new web developers
  • Create deliverables for your product area (for example: competitive analysis, low fidelity wireframes, high fidelity mockups, prototypes, journey maps, storyboards, personas, design vision, etc.) that help define the vision and execution of solving real user problems through the user experience.
  • Liaise with apps and 3rd party companies that offer services and products that can improve our ecommerce platforms
  • Lead app, CMS, platform integrations & syncs
  • Leading the reviewing of competitor sites, conducting regular research on methods/functionalities that can be used to improve our current functionality & UX offering
  • Adhoc and daytoday onsite/app functionality fixes and updates to ensure campaigns and promotional calendar can be delivered effectively, including managing this workload and spend with freelance developers if necessary

Qualifications & Experience

  • 34 years+ experience as a digital designer
  • Ability to build responsive landing pages for desktop, mobile and tablet
  • A portfolio of web designs with a track record of improving metrics related to marketing objectives
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite / Figma / XD / AE
  • Experience in ecommerce UX and /or Shopify.
  • An understanding of online accessibility standards like WCAG
