Description
Houghton Hospitality are looking for CDP'S to join a very prestigious client based in Westminster.


Duties:


  • To ensure that legal and company requirements are adhered to in respect of Hygiene, Health & Safety, Employment Law, and Food Safety Law for all staff, visitors and customers;
  • To ensure that all dishes are presented to the highest standard in terms of colour, content, balance, freshness and flavour seasonality;
  • Ensure that cooking and presentation of food is to a constant high standard according to specifications;
  • To have good time keeping and punctual as outlined on rota's, and to work to daily rota set by Line manager;
  • To continually strive to offer new food trends and ideas to the client with the overall purpose of developing exciting menus and ensuring that the unit is continually offering new products;
  • Ensure area of responsibility is kept clean and tidy at all times;
  • To take on customer and client feedback to further develop the standards and reflect market changes;
  • To be available to work on functions which may take place outside normal working hours;
  • To have an excellent knowledge of H.A.C.C.P and C.O.S.H.H;
  • Report any faulty equipment or hazards to line manager;
  • To adhere to the correct standard of dress and appearance as set out by CRS Department;
  • It is the duty of all staff to observe all legislative requirements including those concerning food hygiene, and health and safety at work. Each member of staff should eliminate hazards to safety and to health, and where this cannot be done the hazardsshould be reported to the appropriate Health and Safety Coordinator;
  • To work effectively to ensure the department achieves its aims and objectives;
People Management

  • To ensure than all junior chefs in your direct control adhere to the correct standards of dress and appearance as set out in Operational Standards
  • To ensure through effective communication, with all junior chefs in your direct control are aware of any changes in menus, cleaning, production, food safety, bookings and anything that could impact to service;
  • To carry out all reasonable tasks expected by senior chef team & management;
  • To ensure you work to menu costings and pre
- determined recipes specifications;

  • To be part of a committed and motivated team focused on the delivery of objectives;
  • To deal with customers always in a friendly and helpful manner;
Financial Contribution

  • To support senior chef team to ensure every possible effort is made to achieve outlets targets are achieved;
  • To support senior chef team to ensure that all the outlet stock control, wastage and production is correctly collected;
  • To support senior chef team to maintain control of menu development and cost within agreed budget.
  • To support senior chef team to grow the business in the unit through maximising uptake, spend per head and achievement of gross profit target
Work Experience

  • Previous Catering experience as a Chef preferably within high volume restaurants or contract catering environment (Min 3 years working experience in UK)
  • Confident working in a hight energy and busy kitchen
  • Experience in producing food of a high quality
  • A current level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen certificate
