Description

Oxford Nanopore's sequencing platform is the only technology that offers real-time analysis (for rapid insights), in fully scalable formats from pocket to population scale, that can analyse native DNA or RNA and sequence any length of fragment to achieve shortto ultra-long read lengths.

Our goal is to enable the analysis of any living thing, by anyone, anywhere. We offer real-time nanopore-based DNA/RNA sequencing technology: accessible, easy to use and fully scalable for any requirement.

You will work alongside other Developers and Testers to ensure project deadlines are met and code deployed is robust and high quality.

You will ensure that all development is well architected, secure, robust, scalable and thoroughly documented.
The Details

Other responsibilities include:

Working with senior stakeholder to understand business priorities and updating them on progress
Developing commercial quality software
Analysing and documenting business requirements
Fully testing systems before UAT
Fault finding and resolving issues
Managing businesscritical projects

What We're Looking For
We'll expect you to have prior experience in a development role within an enterprise/commercial environment.

You'll have a persuasive and considered approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss technical matterswith non-technical colleagues.

You are solutions-orientated, prepared to take ownership and able to use your initiative when problem-solving. You'll should be educated to a degree level in computer science, or another relevant discipline.
You'll be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the following areas:

Proficient experience with REST API development
Experience integrating with 3rdparty services
Automated testing
Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN

It would also be desirable if you had any of the followin

g:

Ruby on Rails
Python data science stack (Jupyter, Pandas, Numpy)
AWS provisioning and management
BDD, TDD and any automated testing (or design by testing) methodology
Agile/Extreme Programming development experienced
Frontend programming languages and frameworks (e

g:
JS, Typescript, , React)

Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
An understanding of enterprise infrastructure and developing trends
