The job:

As our new Technical Sales Specialist, you will be accountable for Thermo Fisher Scientific's genotyping solutions in the Agrigenomics domain and will also be supporting our Animal Health portfolio, which encompasses nucleic acid extraction kits, qPCR master mixes, qPCR kits, and ELISA kits.

It is a growing business, in which Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a wide range of solutions to best-fit our customer needs, e.g.

Microarray and Targeted Genotyping by Sequencing (AgriSeq) technologies in genomics and qPCR kits in Animal Health.

What will you do?

Craft, implement, track, and report on performances to plan, targets, and forecasts
Drive the company's Genotyping and Animal Health solutions by working with team members, marketing, and global business units
Collaborate with local distributors and sales teams from other divisions to identify and develop potential leads

Who we are looking for:

Master's degree in Molecular Biology or related field (PhD is a plus)
Background in Genetics and Molecular Biology
Proven record of sales experience in the life science environment
Experience with challenging sales processes
Experience with territory planning, presenting and forecasting (revenue and demand)
Putting the customer first mindset
Excellent communication, presentation and networking skills
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Valid UK/Irish driving licence
Willing and able to travel within territory as required (3 days pw on the road, with up to 10 overnights per month)
