Stirk House is an award-winning and busy leisure, wedding and event situated in the Ribble Valley.

We are looking to recruit a Head Housekeeper to cover a period of maternity leave.

Your purpose as Head Housekeeper will be to oversee and direct the activity within the department. You will be responsible for ensuring that housekeeping standards are consistently met.


Job role and responsibilities:


You will:

Manage your department within the agreed targets for:
Room service times

Cleanliness (rooms and general areas)

Wage costs

Room costs


Undertake personnel functions such as recruiting, monitoring, developing and coaching the staff within your department, especially with regard to rota management, customer care and problem solving and continuous improvement of quality standards.

Conduct regular meetings within your department to maintain a focus on performance management and the hotel strategy.

Maintain the Housekeeping equipment in a condition to be serviceable and thereby minimising unnecessary expenditure.

Implement, conduct and monitor regular cleaning checklists for the department ensuring consistent standards and follow ups where required.


Conduct yourself in a way and to a standard that demonstrates the highest levels of integrity, service standards and cleanliness, thereby acting as an exemplary role model throughout your department and the hotel.


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 months

Part-time hours: 25-40 per week


Salary:
£12.00 per hour
