    Teacher of English

    We are seeking a passionate and dynamic teacher of English to join our team at The Misbourne School.

    The successful candidate will be able to relate to young people, support them to become independent and resilient learners, and have good communication, interpersonal and IT skills.

    About Us

    The Misbourne is an 11-18 mixed school in the picturesque village of Great Missenden in the heart of the Chilterns. We have over 1100 students on roll and are proudly non-selective and inclusive. Our staff tell us they genuinely feel like part of a team, where every student and member of staff is a valued member of our community.

    We offer a range of benefits, including a fortnightly 'Flexi-PPA', annual personal 'Headspace Day', two-week October half-term, centralised behaviour system, free access to our own fully-fitted gym, Cycle to Work Scheme and free on-site parking.

    Job Description

    As a teacher of English, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing pupil progress, and contributing to the development of the English curriculum. You will also have opportunities to develop professionally and reduce workload through regular calendared development time and collaborative planning with colleagues.

    You will be working in a strong and supportive team, with experienced leaders who are committed to supporting your day-to-day practice and long-term professional development. We are looking for potential - to develop you into the teacher or middle leader you want to be.
