We have been instructed on an Accounts Semi Senior opportunity within a forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Cardiff.

This opportunity would suit an AAT Qualified individual and/ or ACCA or ACA student working in practice looking for structured career progression and a supportive environment around your studies/ exams.

This role will involve working with a diverse client base from an array of sectors including the preparation of year end statutory accounts, management accounts and the review of VAT returns and bookkeeping.

Additionally, you will attend client meetings, provide training to clients on accountancy software and deal with ad hoc queries.

Our client is offering an excellent remuneration and benefits package, study support (optional), health insurance, flexible working and the option of working from home.

Part time will also be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Corporation tax computations
Preparation of management accounts
Streamlining clients business/ accounting processes
Preparation and review of VAT returns
Bookkeeping
Training clients on accountancy software
Dealing with ad hoc client/ HMRC queries

Requirements:

AAT Qualified or ACA/ ACCA Student/ Part Qualified
Practice experience is essential
Good communication skills
Good working knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105 reporting standards (ideally)
