Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the head cook in preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and quality standards
  • Help with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing sauces
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Adhere to proper food handling and safety guidelines
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a school kitchen or restaurant or culinary setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Understanding of food safety practices and regulations

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience working as a cook's assistant or kitchen helper
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and sanitation practices

Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
£11.80-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
