On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for an
IPV Valuation Analystfor a
12-month long contract based in
London.


Purpose of the role:


The purpose of the role is to support the accurate and independent marking of all parameters as required by regulators along with the derivation, as well as to analyse and report the results.


As an IPV Valuation Analyst, you will:

  • Produce accurate and timely KPI's for circulation to management or presentation at meetings
  • Perform daily and monthend Maps
  • Implement new processes where responsibility is being transferred from another area
  • Identify and recommend improvements in all price testing methodologies in conjunction with Risk
  • Global Markets
  • Work within a limited timeframe as part of a team and product accurate daily and month end corrections
  • Produce accurate reports highlighting coverage and results of IPV
  • Maintain accurate and clear procedures at all times; keep the map book up to date
  • Constructively challenge the present procedures and look for improvements
  • Take part in various projects to automate and/or improve our systems with the assistance of IT
  • Build and maintain relationships with other Product Control teams, Front Office, Middle Office, Finance and Risk
  • Contribute to other initiatives within the Valuation & Risk Control function, both within the region and in other locations
  • Share skills and ideas across the group
  • Assist with the completion of projects and provide regular updates
  • Show initiative to make improvements on processes that will benefit control and efficiency

What we're looking for:


  • Good VBA coding skills
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to understand and debug spreadsheets efficiently
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of basic financial products and their valuation techniques (bonds, swaps, calls, puts) and the desire to learn more
  • The willingness to look for permanent,
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a part of a team
  • Attention to detail, but also the ability to understand the big picture

This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
