SEMH Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support - Sheffield
An "Outstanding" rated Primary School in the Sheffield Area are looking to recruit a SEMH Teaching Assistant.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant you will be working on a 1:1 basis Monday & Tuesday with a child with behavioural difficulties.
You will be using strategies to support and develop the child's academic and emotional progress in your role as a SEMH TeachingAssistant.
Tue, Wed & Thurs you will provide general Teaching Assistant support to other children within the class.
In your role as a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a school that has high academic aspirations, whilst maintaining a caring and nurturing school community.
The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant should be:
- Able to support children with behavioural difficulties
- Provide general TA support to the class
- Able to work 1:1 and group support
- In and out of the classroom
- Able to Work alongside a range of professionals and SENCO
- Available for Long Term & Full Time work until at least July 202
- Able to start ASAP
SEMH Teaching Assistant requirements:
- Strong academics
- TA qualification, Health & Social care qualification, A levels & GCSEs
- Good understanding of SEN is required
- Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN would be ideal
- You must be able to work effectively as part of a large team, and be willing to learn
- Calm and compassionate nature
