We have an opportunity for a Hygiene Operative to join our Hygiene team at our Lightbody factory in Hamilton site on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

As part of our site Hygiene Team, the Hygiene Operative will support the site Operations team in day to day line production of our baked goods.

The Hygiene Operative will ensure that the production area is cleaned and maintained to the high levels required for quality and compliance in line with set targets.

The Hygiene Operatives will have a good work ethic and will be proud of the work they do.

They will be able to communicate polity and openly to their teams and managers, to highlight any challenges, ask for support and give support - you are working as part of team.

These roles can be busy at times, which is why good organisational skills and the ability to hit deadlines are key in succeeding here.


This is what you'll actually do:

As the Hygiene Operative you will work together with the other members of the team and larger Operations Team, to ensure the performance of your area meets the maintenance and production plan.

You'll follow all instructions in the cleaning of the production lines, operate floor cleaning equipment, operate compactor machines and also tray and rack cleaning machines.


You must be able to work alone or within a group and have clear English communication skills, as you will need to follow both verbal and written instructions to perform tasks and highlight potential Health and Safety risks.

You'll also follow all rules on PPE, dilution of chemicals and follow all health and safety rules at all times.


As the Hygiene Operative you'll be responsible for completion of appropriate paperwork to the highest standard, complete all tasks efficiently in order to reduce waste, reporting all issues if they arise and follow all company policies.

You will undertake duties to enhance the external areas like, light weeding and ground work, undertake cleaning of communal areas.
