We are currently recruiting for a
Fast Track
Medical File Handler to join our fantastic Medical Department in Burscough, Ormskirk.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.


You will take instructions from the Solicitors, assisting them to obtain any medical evidence that is required regarding the clients claim.

From arranging any medical examinations, radiology to arranging surgery, ensuring this is all done within the deadlines.


In addition, take calls from Solicitors and clients, ensuring that each file is progressed, and that any required action is taken on the file.

Exercising a high level of attention to detail in ensuring all correspondence and documents contain full and accurate details.


We are looking for someone who is positive, energetic and enthusiastic, a problem solver and someone who can work as part of a tight team and using their own initiative.

You will be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to your stake holders and ensure that everyone has a positive experience by delivering an outstanding service.

Responsibilities to include:


  • Liaise and instruct the medical experts. Confirming experts terms & conditions
  • Source a medical expert, if specialist requested by the Solicitors are not on our panel of experts.
  • Chase medical appointments.
  • Send out appointment letters to the client & inform the solicitor
  • Text appointment details to clients. Contact client confirming their attendance also rearranging the appointment if necessary.
  • Request medical records contacting GP's & Hospitals whilst dealing with the private & sensitive nature of records.
  • Instruct any interpreters required to attend the appointment.
  • Review medical report ensuring all details are correct. Requesting amendments if required.
  • Arranging any treatment required to assist the client's recovery i.e. contacting Hospitals to arrange MRI or Surgery.
  • Chase & Review medical report ensuring all details are correct. Ensure ALL reports are received within the deadline
  • Arranging any treatment required to assist the client's recovery i.e. contacting Hospitals to arrange Surgery. Liaise with Hospital, Consultants, client & transport. Confirming with the Hospital that all departments have been instructed also ensuring that all hospital invoices have been processed before any surgery can take place.
  • Arranging any after care in relation to the recovery after surgery, followup radiology images, physiotherapy, home visits etc.
  • Working under instruction form the Solicitor regarding any court orders for further medical evidence within the ordered timeframe i.e. Joint Statements or Part 35 Questions
  • Schedule of loss providing the Solicitor a detailed breakdown of all invoices & future costs
