Primary School Teaching Assistant - Abbots Langley

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a School in the Abbots Langley area as a Primary School Teaching Assistant.

The role is a fulltime position from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 16.00pm. You will be mainly supporting KS2 SEN children along with a general Teaching Assistant.

Experience working as a Primary School Teaching Assistant is a must and a advantage would be a working with SEN children.

The Role:

Promote inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities as a Primary School Teaching Assistant
Supporting pupils with SEN in KS2 classes during group activities as a Primary School Teaching Assistant
Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
Communicate effectively and sensitively with pupils to adapt to their needs and support their learning as a Primary School Teaching Assistant
Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment by organising and managing physical teaching space and resources
Create a stimulating environment and motivate pupils with their learning

Requirements:

Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 16.00pm.
Good communication skills are essential to effectively communicate with the pupils and teachers as a Primary School Teaching Assistant
The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and remain calm under pressure as a Primary School Teaching Assistant
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant you will need a good understanding of building positive relationships with children
Ability to support SEN students in groups as a Primary School Teaching Assistant
Either live in Abbots Langley or within a commutable distance
Previous experience working with children, where a reference is obtainable

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
