WSP has an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing Engagement team.

We drive best practice engagement, consultation and stakeholder management in the delivery of some of the country's largest infrastructure projects as well delivering expertise within the water, health, energy and environmental sectors.


You will be supported by our team of senior engagement specialist to undertake the public consultation and engagement element of our work on projects and will act as a trusted client advisor.

You will also be responsible for working collaboratively with colleagues across WSP from environmental, highways and major infrastructure planning teams.


You must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to adapt your style to different circumstances - including a variety of media, business reports and business development.

Your new role, what's involved?

  • Advise project teams and clients on stakeholder engagement and consultation strategies
  • Prepare consultation and communication materials working directly with multidisciplinary teams to draft copy and promotional information.
  • Plan and deliver stakeholder communication and consultations
  • Promote our inhouse Digital Technology engagement systems, methods and tools
  • Represent the engagement team at various stakeholder and industry engagement events.
  • Facilitate online and face to face workshops and meetings with key stakeholder groups
  • Logistics and events coordination
  • Manage and analyse data collected as part of the consultation process and publish reports.
  • Assist with writing tender submissions and pursue business development opportunities.
  • Ensure an accurate record of engagement with stakeholders at all times, using our inhouse system.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Have proven experience, in consultation, engagement and stakeholder management
  • Experience in the key sectors road, rail, water, health or energy sectors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations and reportwriting.
  • Strong team player who has an enthusiastic and motivated attitude.
  • Proven experience of planning and delivering stakeholder engagement and consultation strategies, including production of high quality communications materials, event organisation and facilitation skills.
  • Well organised, with a structured approach to the delivery of tasks, with an ability to adapt to a varied workload within a fastchanging environment.
  • Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data collected as part of the consultation process.
  • Knowledge of social and digital media channels with a view to using these to better connect with target audiences.
