WHAT WOULD A COUNSELLOR BE DOING

As a Counsellor you will be part of an exciting new partnership delivering emotional wellbeing services to children and families in Surrey.

We will be working in partnership with other local voluntary sector agencies and local NHS Trusts.

To work in partnership with children, young people and families (CYPF) to agree and plan interventions with a focus on supporting CYPF to self-manage and build resilience.

WHAT IS STEP BY STEP LOOKING FOR

an individual who has:

Experience of working with children or young people.
A sound understanding of Safeguarding issues, roles and responsibilities.
A relevant professional qualification in counselling at diploma level or equivalent mental healthrelated qualification.
Kept informed and up to date professional practice, up to date continued professional development.
Kept up to date with national and local initiatives, national guidelines and researchbased practice.
Successful applicants require will undergo DBS checks and must provide two references.
