Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a CNC Machinist with Aluminium Window experience working Monday-Thursday Days to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Aston, Birmingham with free parking, casual dress and pension.

This CNC Machinist role is a permanent position offering a salary up to £24,000 per annum dependent on experience. Working Monday to Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm OR 5:30am - 4pm.

As CNC Machinist you will be working in a team of 10 which consists of FLT Drivers, Machinists and Saw Operators reporting to the Production Manager.

Your role will involve the following responsibilities:
Maintaining, loading, operating, and setting CNC Machines such as lathes and mills to manufacture bespoke windows
Quality checking using various measuring tools reporting quality issues to manager
Performing daily machines checks to ensure all in working order prior to use
Supporting the factory's programme of continuous improvement
Reporting all deficiencies and issues concerning Health & Safety, your working environment, equipment, and quality to your Line Manager
Measuring, cutting, and preparing the profile length of aluminium that will form the finished product
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
At least 2 years' experience working as a CNC Machinist
Previous experience operating and setting CNC machinery
Working knowledge of ALUMINIUM materials and their machining properties
Experience working within window industry
Ability to read paperwork and input the data correctly to produce precise cuts on the saw
Excellent communication skills
Problem solving skills
Being able to work confidently on their own and raise issues
High attention to detail
High level of accuracy
