Transport Planner - Birchwood, Warrington
Hours: 6am-3pm or 10am-7pm, Monday to Friday


Salary:
£26,000 starting - £28,000 after 3-month trial period

Acorn Recruitment has a very exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner for a very forward-thinking and dynamic transport company based in Warrington.


Role requirements:


Applicants must have previous experience of working within a similar role in Logistics Industry, good geographical knowledge, good understanding of legal compliance, drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, excellent communication skills both verbal and written,IT Literate.


Core responsibilities:

  • To report directly to the Transport Manager
  • To ensure all Company H&S Policies and Procedures are adhered to, reporting any hazards, incidents, or accidents immediately to your manager
  • Planning of Network (Pallet Track) General deliveries
  • Booking deliveries in Network (Pallet Track) General deliveries
  • Liaising with subcontractors regarding deliveries and back loads
  • Liaising with Customers, delivery points
  • Communication is essential at all levels
  • Working towards agreed KPIs
  • Help with any training needs required
