This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Senior Fire Engineer to be a key team member and center-point for technical knowledge and quality control.
The remit will also include the opportunity to build and develop a Compliance team as anintegral part of the National Fire Team.
The Role:
The individual, our client seeks will have exceptional Fire industry knowledge along with a commitment and passion; somebody who can effectively provide bespoke Fire Consultancy across a variety of buildings to our large portfolio of clients nationwide andassist the management team advising on service offerings and building knowledge across the business.
Duties:
- You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list) providing Fire Consultancy to our major clients;
- Undertaking Comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments on High Risk and High-Rise Buildings;
- Validating and auditing Fire risk assessments;
- Ongoing training and development of the team of risk assessors and consultant.
Acting as a key fire consultant throughout the different phases of a client's works programme including:
- Supporting clients with design consultancy, monthly works inspections, and reviewing contractors' documents.
- Completing of pre and post works inspections ensuring continual Health and Safety Compliance and producing the reports.
Essential requirements:
- Considerable experience in the completion of Fire Risk Assessments on High Rise Buildings and the undertaking retrospective Fire Strategies;
- You will hold a professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from creditable providers such as the Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association and NEBOSH;
- You will have a fully maintained CPD log for fire prevention industry;
- Technician membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers or the institute of Fire Safety Managers;
- Recognised 3rd Party Accreditation with the Institute of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors or a similar industry related scheme is desirable; preferably have fire brigade experience.
- You will be highly organised and structured with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
